Kenisha Thom, who represented Trinidad and Tobago at Miss World 2004, is set to embark on a new career in politics. She has been nominated to for a seat in parliament as member of the PNM party, representing the La Horquetta/Talparo constituency.
Once her nomination passes, Kenisha, who is now 26, will begin campaigning. She says she is most passionate about “working with the young people and empowering them to achieve their aspirations”.
Miss Thom, who is from Lowlands in Tobago, has demonstrated her commitment to her country’s youth by organising motivational sessions and youth clubs.
